Dr. Brian Carlos graduated from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 1990. He completed his internship and residency at Akron General Medical Center in 1993 and was chosen to serve as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine in 1994.
Dr. Carlos received his training in Cardiology during his fellowship at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. from 1994-1997. He was also asked to serve as the Chief Fellow during his final year of subspecialty training. As a member of the cardiology staff for the next 10 years, Dr. Carlos became Associate Director of Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. Dr. Carlos enjoys the practice of general cardiology with an interest and expertise in Heart Failure. He combines this with advanced skills in echocardiography and invasive, non-interventional cardiology.
