Dr. Martin Charlat graduated from University of Manitoba in 1981. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec followed by a fellowship in Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Charlat has been in practice since 1987 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases with subspecialty certification in Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Charlat also holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at University of California, San Diego. In the field of Cardiology, Dr. Charlat has special skills in the field of Interventional Cardiology, including the transradial approach to cardiac catheterization and angioplasty, along with stent placement. He also has acquired skills in the clinical use and interpretation of CT Angiography (Non Invasive).
Dr. Charlat serves as the current Chief of Cardiology at Scripps Memorial Hospital at Encinitas.
