Dr. Damian Rasch graduated from the University of Chicago with Special Honors and later obtained his medical degree from the Bradenton campus of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital and his fellowship in general cardiology at Midwestern University-Riverside Medical Center. Dr. Rasch prioritizes health education, risk factor modification, and disease prevention in his patient care approach, which involves a deep commitment to collaborative partnership with his patients.

As a clinician trained in both clinical and invasive cardiology, Dr. Rasch performs a comprehensive range of general cardiology tests and procedures, including stress testing, echocardiograms, nuclear cardiology studies, and cardiac catheterization. He also provides specialized cardiovascular care to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy and offers expert care to athletes in the emerging specialty area of Sports and Exercise Cardiology. His expertise in Sports and Exercise Cardiology involves addressing issues such as abnormal findings on sports pre-participation screenings, unusual symptoms during exercise, counseling on returning to exercise and regaining performance after surgery, and clearance for return-to-play after injury or medical/surgical procedures. He is highly regarded in the industry and provides care to Olympic athletes and players from the entire spectrum of sports leagues, including the PGA, NFL, MLB, and World Surf League. Dr. Rasch is deeply committed to providing counseling and care to untrained or older individuals who aspire to begin participating in a sport or start an exercise program. He also offers medically supervised weight loss programs to his patients, which combine the superlative diet and lifestyle modification strategies used in osteopathic medicine with the latest cutting edge weight loss medical therapies such as Ozempic and Wegovy when appropriate.

Dr. Rasch holds a faculty appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and has a passion for teaching medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows.
